Mr. Krul has been in and out of the Martial Arts since his teens, not making any serious dedication or commitment to any one style, until he found KENPO. During a four-year enlistment in the Military, Mr. Krul was introduced to the basics of Kenpo at a weekend class offered on base. After 4 years in the military and 2 years of Kenpo training, Mr. Krul left the military for civilian life.

As a civilian Mr. Krul has chosen a path both in Law Enforcement and the Firefighting. These careers only intensified his desire to survive at all costs. In the mid 1990’s, he found Instructor Keith Curts of Tracy’s Karate. Mr. Curts expertise and passion for self-defense were the keys Mr. Krul needed. Not only did Mr. Krul continue his training in Kenpo, he was also introduced to SHOOTFIGHTING and the fighting styles of the Minnesota Kali group, (a mixture of weapon and hand-to-hand fighting styles), by instructor Paul Bonner, from Canada. The combination of these styles filled the need and ability, Mr. Krul was looking for. His formal training in Tracy’s Kenpo (Traditional Chinese Kenpo) started on his 1st day into the Tracy’s Karate studio, in 1994, and has continued ever since. Mr. Krul has been a competitive Shootfighter and trainer for several years now.

With a combined Martial Arts experience of over 15 years, Mr. Krul continues on the path to ultimate survival. Continuing as a student and instructor, Mr. Krul teaches to both civilians and Law Enforcement. Specializing in the Tactics needed for the Law Enforcement arena.

As an avid outdoorsman, Mr. Krul saw the need for another tool to becoming a of self-defense professional, that tool being, wilderness survival and tracking. Mr. Krul has been training at Tom Brown Jr.’s Tracking, Nature, and Wilderness Survival School, and continued his Tactical Urban and Rural Training with On Point Tactical Tracking School, in New Jersey, since 2001. Mr. Krul was Introduced to both Survival schools by Martial Art and Survival instructor, Paul Bonner.

“The ultimate goal here is to be able to survive at all costs, whether it be in the street or in the wild. We must always be prepared for whatever challenges are thrown our way. The true path of the warrior takes dedication and knowledge. It is also a commitment to protect and serve” M. Krul 2003
